Benitses is a former fishing village set amidst wooded hills on the east coast of
Corfu, 8 miles from the capital, Corfu Town, and facing the Greek mainland.
Benitses now offers something of a quieter more relaxed atmosphere than that were common in the eighties when
Benitses was a popular youth beach resort.
Benitses is now a relatively quiet resort shrugging off its more hectic past, and now tends to appeal to couples.
Benitses retains more traditional village architecture than many other Corfu resorts. It has whitewashed houses decked in flowers and there are still local fishermen working from the pedestrianised harbour.
